Located beside the original Nauvoo Expositor site. Operated by Brian and Alane Stutzman of Idaho Falls, Idaho—both active Latter-day Saints; Brian is a former YSA Bishop and current BYU-Pathway instructor.
The Nauvoo Martyrdom Stories Museum is a free, privately owned site dedicated to the Martyrdom of Joseph and Hyrum Smith. Exhibits cover early Nauvoo, life along the Mississippi, the rise of the Saints, Joseph Smith’s prophecies, growing tensions, and the events leading to the Martyrdom. See accounts of the mob that killed the Prophet and his brother, the trial of the accused, and the powerful testimony of Eliza Jane Graham, the young Mormon waitress who testified against the killers. Also featured: a little-known prophecy about Joseph Smith.
