Established in 1999, the team has evolved into a powerhouse within the United States Hockey League (USHL), a Tier 1 junior hockey league, renowned for its commitment to player development and excellence on the ice. The Steel have achieved numerous accolades, including multiple Clark Cup championships (2004, 2017, and 2021) and Anderson Cup titles (2020 and 2021) for regular season dominance.
